Radicals and Victuallers, a new diner that checks off every hip restaurant trend imaginable, has opened in Islington’s Upper Street. The US-inspired venue serves up diner classics like burgers, fried chicken and mac ‘n’ cheese, sharing plates and plenty of meat – all über cool with the capital’s hipster crowd.
The diner, which has taken over the former site of an O’Neill’s Irish pub, is decked out with reclaimed wood (another trendy point scored), banquettes and high stools and has a side garden with al fresco tables and heaters. The bar will serve a selection of American and British craft beer, as well as wines and cocktails.
Radicals and Victuallers will also host regular events and offers, including two-for-one on burgers from 12-6pm on Tuesdays.
