After the surprise decision to close his eponymous Chelsea flagship restaurant at the beginning of the year, pending possible relocation to Mayfair, Tom Aikens has announced plans for expansion.
The chef is to open his fifth Tom’s Kitchen restaurant in St Katherine’s Dock this month. The 130-cover establishment will serve up spicy crab cakes and seven hour confit lamb, as well as new dishes including haddock with sweetcorn fritters. Next door, there will be a deli.
