Nottingham’s Sexy Mamma doubles up

Popular Nottingham Italian restaurant Sexy Mamma Love Spaghetti is set to open a second branch south of the city centre, close to Trent Bridge cricket ground.

The business has taken over the prominent corner site occupied for 30 years by the Connaught House gift shop in Tudor Square, in the affluent suburb of West Bridgford.

Sexy Mamma – praised in the 2023 Harden’s Guide for its “good value” pasta dishes – opened seven years ago on Heathcote Street in the hip district of Hockley. Its owner, Edin Gondzic, is known for arresting names – his other restaurants have included Botti di Mama and Crazy Fish My Love.

In a social media post announcing the new venue, he said: “We will make it as local as one can do. Let’s have fun.”

The opening date has yet to be announced.
