Simon Rogan’s new restaurant, Fera at Claridge’s, will open today (6 May).
Fera means ‘wild’ in Latin, apparently intended to reflect the ‘primal influence of nature’ and ‘highly seasonal ingredients’ that will underpin Rogan’s menu. It remains to be seen whether this agrestal attitude will extend to the new space’s decor, which is being overseen by British designer Guy Oliver.
Rogan opened his highly respected L’Enclume restaurant in Cartmel, Cumbria, in 2003. His most recent foray into the London dining scene was long-running Marylebone pop-up Roganic, which closed in 2013.
Booking lines for Fera at Claridge’s are open. Bookings will be taken on 020 7107 8888 or at claridges.co.uk/fera
