Mayfair’s venerable Guinea Grill is running a pop-up supper club on Thursday and Friday nights through the summer in a former Pizza Express across the road. Upstairs at 23 will offer a changing set menu celebrating seasonal British produce.
The Grill, which specialises in high-quality British steaks, is tucked away behind the Guinea pub in Bruton Place, and this year celebrates its 70th anniversary. Manager Oisin Rogers says he hopes Upstairs at 23, which uses a first-floor dining room, will carry on until the autumn following its launch this week.
He said: “The five-course menu will change daily depending on the chefs in charge and the best and most interesting produce available from our butcher, fishmonger and fruit and veg supplier.”
