A new European-style café that morphs into an evening cocktail bar opens near the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden next Thursday, 12 October.
Baudry Greene is the latest offering on Endell Street from Will Palmer and Ian Campbell, who also run 10 Cases wine bar and Parsons fish restaurant there – both of which earn excellent ratings across the board in the annual Harden’s survey.
The café will serve pastries, eggs and a ‘Bavarian plate’ of speck, ham, cheese and pretzel for breakfast, with sandwiches and salads for lunch, followed by cocktails, wine and both sweet and savoury snacks in the evening.
The name is explained on the café’s website: “Our sister fish restaurant, Parsons, was named in tribute to our founders Will Palmer and Ian Campbell’s mothers, both of whose maiden names were, remarkably, Parsons. Baudry Greene continues the tradition and is named after Will and Ian’s wives’ respective maiden names.“
