Granary Square Brasserie, a new restaurant brand from the team behind The Ivy Collection, opens today (Wednesday 6 December). Located in the heart of King’s Cross, on the former site of Bruno Loubet’s Grain Store (RIP), the restaurant sits on Granary Square with an al-fresco terrace overlooking Regent’s Canal.
The 250-cover restaurant, open seven days a week, offers modern British fare alongside dishes from around the globe. The breakfast menus includes faves like Eggs Benedict or blended juices like The Power Up (wheatgrass, pineapple, papaya and orange). For lunch enjoy a steak sandwich with a Burgundy sauce dip, shrimp and scallop burger, smoked salmon and crab, and an HLT (halloumi, lettuce and tomato).
In the evening the Grade-II listed space has a resident DJ and cocktails served at the central bar. On the dinner menu: Calamari with wasabi mayo, lime & chilli, and Thai Spiced Mussels with chilli and grilled lime. Main courses will include a classic Fish Pie with salmon, cod and smoked haddock, a Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder with roast vegetables and Cote de Boeuf. Puds include: Cappuccino Cake and Lemon Meringue Alaska.
A weekend brunch menu is on offer until 4 pm, accompanied by champagne, wine or cocktails. The al-fresco dining terrace overlooks Regent’s Canal and Granary Square’s floor-level fountains, complete with heaters and blankets so guests can enjoy the space all year round.
