Billed as the world’s most expensive pho, two bowls of the Vietnamese national dish could be yours if you’re prepared to pay more than £1,000 for the privilege.
The “super pho” concocted by Shaftesbury Avenue restaurant Pho and Bun using Kobe beef is being auctioned to raise funds for Action on Hunger.
Owner Andy Le and head chef Graeme Hibs will use a whole leg to create a 72-hour stock, adding two cuts of A5-grade Kobe beef, which retails at about £600 a kilo, to the finished pho.
The dish will also contain home-grown organic beansprouts, spring onions, coriander and mint along with the best fish sauce imported from Vietnam, with white truffle shaved over at serving to add the final touch of luxury.
Bidding on eBay ends at midnight tomorrow (October 8).
