London’s flagship ambassador for Portuguese cuisine, the “refined and beautiful” Portal in Clerkenwell, is hosting a Taste Portugal event later this month. Discover Portuguese produce, like BÃsaro pork, through a special menu created by chef/patron Antonio Correia and former head chef Ricardo Costa (now heading up the kitchen at Porto’s celebrated Yeatman Hotel).
Taste Portugal takes place from 6.30pm on Thursday 22 January at Portal, St John Street. The five course tasting menu includes: Crispy BÃsaro pork, Portuguese game sausage from The Yeatman and truffled egg yolk and belly of Bisaro Suckling pig with scarlet shrimp and sprouted chickpea salad.
Tickets cost £65 per person (£95 per person with matching wines). Reservations are available via Portal’s website or call 020 7253 6950.
