In the well-heeled environs of Mayfair, just around the corner from Claridge’s, a new socially-conscious restaurant project supporting social mobility. Spring Workshop, is an all-day café and evening bar, but it is also a community hub offering apprenticeships and work experience (irrespective of background), literacy events and a coffee training scheme for homeless people.
Open Monday-Friday for breakfast (French toast, eggs, organic porridge, and Hej Coffee from Bermondsey); lunch (deli sandwiches, seasonal salads, soups, and a selection of tasty toppings on toast); and dinner (sharing platters of charcuterie and cheeses from Neal’s Yard, paired with a small selection of wines and London craft beers).
Spring Workshop will support social mobility within London and the local community, offering employment, apprenticeships, and work experience. Profits and tips will be donated to charities supporting social mobility. It will also host poetry nights and book clubs, as well as regular literacy events, and a coffee training scheme for homeless.
