Galvin Bros’ Baker Street stalwart, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe – the restaurant that our reporters say “never lets you down” – will unfortunately close this weekend on 10 February.
It was the brothers’ first venture when it opened 12 years ago. Galvin Bistrot de Luxe is known for its “sophisticated and well-presented” bistro cuisine and “bustling, business-like and atmospheric” style. It’s set menu has long been a pre-theatre fave too and is “an absolute steal”.
Chris and Jeff Galvin said: “It’s time to move on…in the world’s great cities things do not stand still. Tastes change and also, as creative chefs, we are restless and now want to do new things not just endlessly repeat the same style of cooking.”
Despite this closure the brothers intend to open further new ventures under their Galvin Restaurants brand, as well as a fine dining collaboration with Tottenham Hotspurs which is due to open in August this year.
