Scottish pop-up Dram & Smoke is migrating east for spring with a five week stint in a former sofa factory by the riverside in Hackney Wick. Previous projects included sold out runs in a steelyard in Vauxhall and a leather tannery in London Bridge.
Their spring project will feature the same Highland hospitality and, of course, the lads’ whisky barrel smoker. Tickets are £40 and include a cocktail on arrival and five courses.
On the menu: Cullen Skink mousse and smokin’ onion broth with peas & cheese; potted duck jars paired with a marmalade dressing and Scottish breakfast classic tattie scones; carve-at-the-table salt-baked lamb shoulder to share and lemon hot toddy tart.
To drink there’s whisky cocktails courtesy of Monkey Shoulder, BrewDog beers and a short wine list. Tickets will be available for dinner, or for access to the bar (which boasts beer pong and acoustic music).
Dram & Smoke will run for five weeks, Wednesday-Saturday, from 17 April – 16 May at Swan Wharf in Hackney. Book your tickets here.
