As part of the renovation of the entire, iconic Centre Point complex, London restaurateurs rhubarb (Sky Garden, Saatchi Gallery, Royal Albert Hall) will open their new flagship restaurant VIVI as part of the bridge link overlooking the new square. It was slated to open late-2017 but this has been pushed to July-2018.
The space will comprise four unique dining and drinking zones. VIVI Bar will serve classic and creative cocktails paired with a VIVI bites menu, while VIVI Dining will serve a nostalgic all-day British menu of modernised classics. For fresh juices, smoothies, power shakes and superfood shots, head to VIVI Liquid Lounge; while VIVI Gallery – complete with views over New Oxford Street – will be a pitstop for light bites or a leisurely afternoon teas.
The interiors take their inspiration from ‘60s Swinging London’– the decade in which the iconic Centre Point was built. VIVI’s decor includes optical art, dog-tooth patterning, an elliptical bar, and a central chandelier handmade by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt – suspended over the dining area.
VIVI at Centre Point will offer an all-day menu of nostalgic, delicious, British dishes modernised for today. The all-day menu will run from breakfast to brunch, lunch to afternoon tea and dinner to bar bites. Dishes include: Keen’s twice baked cheddar soufflé; Cauliflower cheese croquettes, Lea & Perrins; Chicken Kiev, fries, vinegar “salt & shake”; VIVI artic roll, raspberry & lemon; Jelly & custard, strawberry, vanilla custard, Victoria Sponge.
At the bar, classical cocktails such as signature Gimlets and Negronis will be served alongside bar bites.
