Quo Vadis, the Soho veteran rated as “particularly charming” by the Harden’s Survey, reopens on Monday after a six-week nip and tuck which will allow its hip young stablemate Barrafina to bunk up in the same address in Dean Street when its lease in nearby Frith Street comes to an end in November.
The re-shuffle of Sam and Eddie Hart’s restaurant holdings means the two establishments will share the ground floor, while the Quo Vadis members’ restaurant will move upstairs where the bar used to be.
Barrafina, the Hart Bros’ “thrilling” homage to Barcelona tapas, now has two further branches in London’s West End. The Frith Street original was an instant hit, creating a “truly exciting, vibrant London experience” and setting the standard for Spanish small-plate dining in the UK.
