Jonathan Downey has confirmed the street food market Dinerama in Shoreditch will not reopen. The food market had its last weekend on October 3-4.

Posting on social media he said: “Dinerama closes this weekend. Gone for good. After five years, one fire and two million visitors, we’re finished because of our fucking landlord.

“Sunday is the last day’s trading of the best business I’ve ever been involved with.”

Such businesses, it has become abundantly clear, are unable to operate with the new restrictions imposed due to coronavirus.
