Eight perspex igloos on a terrace overlooking the Thames at Tower Bridge have become a massive winter hit for City wine bar and restaurant Coppa Club.
Bookings were suspended in early November after Coppa – a club with no membership fees – had recruited six extra members of staff to handle the “overwhelming demand”.
A number of slots in the pods have been kept back for walk-in customers. Perhaps the best tactic to secure one is to arrive early for breakfast.
So far, the igloos are scheduled to remain in place into January.
