North Italian-style TOZI Grand Cafe opens on Monday 12 December, as the gastronomic offering at the Battersea Power Station redevelopment in London continues to take shape.
Sister restaurant to TOZI in Pimlico and another branch in Amsterdam, it is on the ground-floor of the new art’otel in Electric Avenue, where it will be joined next year by restaurant Joia, from Portuguese chef Henrique Sa Pessoa.
TOZI has floor-to-ceiling windows looking across to the iconic former power station, along with an outdoor terrace for al fresco meals. It will be open every day from 7am to 11pm, serving breakfast and an ‘Italian afternoon tea’ as well as modern Venetian cicchetti and signature dishes including lobster linguine (pictured) and veal Milanese.
The kitchen will be run by chef Lee Streeton, formerly of Daphne’s, who has developed the menu with Maurilio Molteni, his opposite number at TOZI Pimlico.
