For the third year in a row Meatopia UK – a festival celebrating all things carnivorous – will land in London’s Tobacco Dock 19-20 September. Founded in the US, and curated in the UK by Richard H Turner (Turner & George and Hawksmoor), Meatopia is a festival of high quality, ethically sourced meat, all cooked over wood and charcoal by some of the world’s leading top chefs.
Early bird tickets for the weekend went on sale today (Thursday 12 February). Go to www.meatopia.co.uk to purchase Meatopia tickets, with prices starting at £25. ‘Early Bird’ ticket holders will gain access to the event 30 minutes early, get to see the chef teams fire up the BBQs, grab a drink from the bar and plan their eating root. (Bars open at 11am; food will be served from midday).
Over the last 2 years, Meatopia UK has seen the likes of Dan Doherty (Duck & Waffle), Tom Adams (Pitt Cue Co) and Neil Rankin (Smokehouse) cook alongside international names such as Seamus Mullen (Tertulia, New York), Aaron Franklin (Franklin Barbecue, Austin Texas) and Dave Pynt (Burnt Ends Singapore).
