London’s Japan Centre has launched a new Ichiba online marketplace, selling fresh groceries and frozen delicacies.
Billed as “London’s first Japanese grocery service,” the site will deliver “over 600 of the very best Ichiba grocery products including fresh and organic fruit and vegetables, Japanese noodles and sushi as well as sauces and seasonings plus frozen fish, meats, buns and gyoza, direct to homes across London every day.”
Japan Centre is Europe’s largest Japanese Food Hall, and an announcement said “Japan Centre Ichiba’s ingenious new delivery service will serve up a range of signature products to transport customers on a whistle-stop tour of Japan.”
The market will sell make-at-home sushi and ramen kits, freshly made bento, poke and ramen from their kitchen, as well as store cupboard essentials and fresh slices of meat and fish, including tuna, salmon and beef straight from their butcher.
Shoppers will also be able to buy frozen produce such as gyoza, noodles and buns, as well as snacks from iconic brands Pocky and KitKat, in addition to firm favourite confection dorayaki, the traditional Japanese pancake sandwich with a sweet red bean filling, from the Japanese bakery.
Ichiba Market Place will launch on Monday November 16 and be delivered every day, with a minimum order of £25 with local delivery charged at £2.99, delivered to all main London postcodes.
