Each week in lockdown, we’ll shine a light on three restaurant delivery services, either a ‘DIY kit’ or a takeaway meal service, we think look worth trying. Not only is it crucial to support the restaurant trade, but it also stands to reason we continue to eat well. Here’s our pick for week two: premium boxes for special evenings

“Simon Rogan at home, the home delivery experience from the multi-Michelin star chef behind restaurants including L’Enclume, Rogan & Co and Aulis, is launching nationwide. Following the success of the Simon Rogan at home offering born out of lockdown and formerly only available in the Lakes, each menu will be accessible to diners across the UK.
Created in Simon’s kitchens in Cartmel in The Lake District, each menu will showcase seasonal twists on his signature style and dishes, whilst using produce harvested from his very own farm ‘Our Farm’ in the Cartmel Valley as well as from loyal suppliers from across the region. The ‘at home’ offering incorporates a three-course winter menu, available to order from today, as well as a five-course festive feast, which can be pre-ordered to arrive in the lead up to Christmas and New Year.
On the three-course winter ‘at home’ menu, which will change weekly, expect to see dishes such as Ham hock terrine with celery oil and a mustard emulsion, Guinea hen with roasted hen of the wood and a creamy mushroom sauce. The experience finishes with a Verbena posset alongside preserved blackberry and camomile cake.”
