Jacob Kenedy’s Soho favourite Bocca di Lupo has announced the appointment of a chef de cuisine who will work alongside the chef-patron. Angelo Albera will oversee the “energetic” open kitchen, and hopefully retain Kenedy’s flair for “unexpected, distinctive regional dishes”.
Born in Casale Monferrato, Angelo has just finished a three year stint as head chef at Cantina del Ponte in London, previously he was in Abu Dhabi where he worked as speciality chef at Amici Restaurant for three years.
Although Angelo will be responsible for overseeing and managing the kitchens’ daily operations, and ensuring culinary excellence at Bocca di Lupo, Kenedy remains the much-admired restaurant’s chef-patron. Located in the heart of Soho, Bocca Di Lupo is the first independent restaurant venture by Jacob Kenedy with business partner Victor Hugo, which opened in late 2008. The restaurant’s buzzing vibrant atmosphere can seem noisy to some (“it can be hard to hold a conversation”) but for most of our reporters it’s “a favourite place”.
