The Langham hotel has opened its (kitchen) doors for the first time in its 153 year old history, launching cookery school ‘Sauce’.
Led by the Langham’s executive Chef Chris King, Sauce promises to share the ‘trade secrets’ of the successful Langham restaurants including The Landau, The Wigmore and Palm Court. Classes range from foundation style courses teaching culinary ‘building blocks’ such as knife skills, through to specialist masterclasses where participants can learn how to make showstopper dishes like Raspberry Soufflé.
Set in the iconic Langham hotel, the teaching kitchen has been refurbished in rustic farmhouse style and decked out with state of the art equipment. Classes will feature live demos, supervised cooking and to finish participants can enjoy the fruits of their labour over a glass or two of fine wine. Courses range from £150 for half-day building block courses through to £995 for a full-day masterclass with Michel Roux Jr.
