Matt Rix and Marc Dalla-Riva (the duo behind Clerkenwell pub the Blacksmith and Toffeemaker) have taken over the former White Rabbit Cocktail Club in Stoke Newington. The site, once a favourite haunt of the late, great Amy Winehouse – back when it was the Baby Bathhouse – re-opens as café, bar and events space 125 Church Street.
The kitchen serves up American-style snacks such as grilled cheese, meatball marina subs and Cuban sandwiches, as well as cakes. The bar will offer cocktails and local, American and European craft beers. Downstairs, a 90-capacity events space will be available for private hire for talks, exhibitions and stand-up comedy nights. There will also be seating outside in the garden.
The White Rabbit people have moved their cocktail bar lock and stock to Shoreditch.
