Bar du Champagne, a new bar and bistro that promises fizz at accessible prices backed up by a menu of nibbles to share and comfort food, has opened in Covent Garden.
The new venue is from Liana Kazaryan, who ran the former Avobar on the same Henrietta Street premises, and is designed with a retro 1950s feel.
Liana says: “Our aim in creating the bistro and Champagne bar was to create a space that felt like it had been in London forever, somewhere that people can visit on any occasion and indulge in a glass of sparkling and a light bite or while away the hours chatting with friends over dinner.
“When curating the wine list, it was really important for us to be able to offer delicious, sustainable and authentic wines at accessible prices, and we hope Bar du Champagne will become a much-loved spot for everyone.“
In addition to Champagne, the bar offers high-quality cava, prosecco and pet nat, along with unusual still wines from Georgia and Armenia. The food menu ranges from ox check and mozzarella croquettes, duck rillettes and truffled croque monsieur to oxtail in Burgundy and pan-roasted cod.
