Bea Vo, creator of bakery chain Bea’s of Bloomsbury, plans to launch a new stand alone concept in Soho this June. Stax Carnaby in Kingly Court, just off, (you guessed it) Carnaby Street, will be a 40-cover restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Serving a selection of breakfast classics like fluffy buttermilk pancakes, French toast and bagels, Stax Carnaby’s menu has a distinctly American feel. Lunch and dinner feature dishes such as burgers (hand ground, using British organic free-range beef from Willowbrook Farm), deep fried chicken sandwiches with apple and poppyseed slaw, fries (triple cooked) and Bea’s new signature ‘Onion Blossom’ – a large onion which is cut to resemble a flower, battered in special spices and deep-fried.
Vo hopes to have the restaurant open in nine weeks time after a complete refit. Look out for details of the soft launch right here on hardens.com.
