The team behind the Cotswolds-born low intervention wine bar The Cellar will bring its concept to King’s Cross this spring.
“Telling stories, with wine” is the catchphrase of the place…
The Cellar is a new ‘sustainable viticulture’ wine bar and will open on May 17.
It marks the second opening from The Cellar team, following the arrival of their debut site in September 2020, within a grade II* listed building in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds.
Inspiration for The Cellar comes from the food and drink market culture found within cities such as Bologna and Madrid: “a relaxed and approachable environment, where customers are encouraged to sample and share.”
Bottles are available in the bar or to take home, and all are made with minimal intervention as standard, with a philosophy of celebrating producers that are “expressive of their native environment and unique growing techniques”.
Come evening, the wine will be served alongside charcuterie and cheese plates, and will include British curds, cures and breads from producers to include Neil’s Yard Dairy, Saltpig Charcuterie, and Brindisa.
