We first heard about this Russian-owned, French-inspired brasserie coming to London back in January this year. Since then there was barely a peep on the subject of Jean-Jacques, but, after a six month wait, they have announced that the restaurant and wine bar will open in Soho this August.
The all-day dining spot in Frith Street will be the brand’s first UK site. Jean-Jacques, part of the Table Talk group, already has 12 outposts in Moscow and St Petersburg.
The menu is traditionally Gallic with dishes like: Omelette with Gruyere cheese and daily baked croissants; steak tartare; salad Niçoise; grilled poussin; Provençal puff pastry tart with spinach; and chocolate fondant.
Situated over three floors in a Soho townhouse, Jean-Jacques will seat 100 and vaunts a rooftop terrace.
