Sustainable restaurant group Lussmanns is returning to London after more than 20 years with the opening of its latest venue this month, in Highgate.
Founder Andrei Lussmann launched his original venture in Portobello Road in 2002, but has grown the group in the past two decades across Hertfordshire, with five branches in towns including Harpenden and St Albans.
The new venue, which takes bookings from next Friday, 23 August, has taken over the former Côte directly opposite the entrance to Waterlow Park.
Like the other branches, it will focus on ‘affordable ethical dining’, with high-welfare British produce and sustainable seafood certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. The wines are also ‘climate- friendly’.
