A new Italian restaurant has opened at the bottom of the City of London’s distinctive 20 Fenchurch Street building, better known as the Walkie-Talkie Tower.
Larch is the little (and much lower) sister of the tower’s Fenchurch Restaurant, on the 37th floor, and Darwin Brasserie on the 36th – both of which achieve strong scores and enthusiastic reports in the 2023 Harden’s Guide.
The trio have all been created by international catering company Rhurbarb as part of the building’s Sky Garden project – in one of the few towers in the City with public access.
Larch is opposite the main Sky Garden entrance above the gift shop and cafe, although guests have to pay separately to visit the garden – billed as the City’s highest-altitude garden. The menu comprises Italian classics made from mainly British ingredients, along with cocktails and regional Italian wines.
Larch is open from 5pm–9.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
