The City of Glasgow College’s training restaurant has been granted an AA highly commended rosette after impressing judges.
Scholars, which helps educate and make ready hospitality students for the industry, has become the only college restaurant in Scotland to receive the award.
It has been given the accolade in recognition of the quality of food produced and the service in the dining room.
Gordon McIntyre, associate dean for hospitality and tourism at the college, said: “We are delighted to have Scholars restaurant recognised by the AA rosette scheme. It endorses the tremendous work our lecturing staff provide to our learners.
“We are always striving to ensure that students have the skills they need to enter and succeed in this challenging industry. And this accolade confirms we are doing exactly that with the AA rosette scheme closely aligned to current industry trends.”
Paul Little, principal and chief executive, added: “We are delighted to have our fine dining restaurant achieve such prestigious recognition.
“Scholars is the ideal training and testing ground for our students as they showcase their talent and skills to members of the public as well as to guests attending high-profile events at our award-winning city campus.”
