Further proof of London’s desire to become the next ‘city that never sleeps’? 24-hour restaurant group, VQ, has announced plans for major expansion after securing new investment from entrepreneur and Cirrus Inns director, Richard Northcott.
Currently VQ has two all-night diners in London, but head honcho Simon Prideaux hopes to up that number to eight, eyeing sites in Shoreditch and Notting Hill. In the last few years the American trend for 24-hour dining has steadily crept onto the London scene with Duck & Waffle as its poster boy.
Odd, though, that a feature that’s sufficiently common in the Big Apple to pass without comment remains such a big deal here.
