Tattu, the ultra-glossy northern-based Oriental restaurant group, is putting finishing touches to its London debut in the Outernet’s ‘The Now Building’, on a prime corner of Tottenham Court Road.
The flamboyant rooftop restaurant will have views across the city, with an interior inspired by traditional Chinese courtyard houses and designed by the Joyce Wang Studio of London and Hong Kong. There will be a huge skylight, with guests dining under a 20-metre-long cherry blossom chandelier.
Tattu was founded in 2015 by brothers Adam & Drew Jones, and now has branches in Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh. The London branch will officially open in April, but a generous soft launch is promised with 50% off the food bill for diners who sign up online.
Executive Chef Andrew Lasseter has devised a new menu for the London opening, inspired by the flavours and ingredients of Chinese cooking. It comprises dim sum, small plates, large plates and show-stopping desserts, alongside an innovative new cocktail menu.
