Rick Stein is to open a seafood restaurant in landlocked Winchester. The 70-cover establishment, expected to open its doors this autumn, will focus on ‘fresh fish, simply cooked.’
Stein’s first UK opening outside Cornwall appears to be something of a family project. Stein’s business partner is his former wife Jill, and the pair’s three sons will all be involved, with Jack in charge of menu development, and Charles, of Chelsea wine merchants The Vintner, supplying some of the wines.
