Chef, singer, broadcaster and supper club host Andi Oliver is to open her first restaurant next month in Stoke Newington – her home turf.
Andi’s will serve brunch classics by day – baked eggs, French toast bacon sandwiches and Reubens with home-cured salt-beef – and transform into a more formal brasserie in the evening.
She will be working with long-term business partner Kelly Miles, having run the Sugar Shack residency at the Jackdaw and in Homerton for two years and before that the Birdcage on Columbia Road. Their guests have included music world luminaries such as Rihanna and Jay-Z.
Andi started out as a singer in the avant garde post-punk band Rip Rig + Panic, alongside Neneh Cherry, with whom she made the BBC television series Neneh and Andi Dish It Up in 2007. Later this year she will appear as a judge in the Great British Menu, having replaced Prue Leith in the role.
