A new small plates restaurant is opening up in the heart of Soho – so far, so run-of-the-mill. But there’s something different about Old Tom & English, particularly when you take into account its Wardour Street setting – the restaurant only takes reservations.
That’s right! A Soho restaurant where you don’t have to shiver in the cold and rain waiting for a table will launch this November. Old Tom & English is open for dinner only Monday-Saturday, serving very British small plates of fish and chips, Welsh rarebit, and jam roly poly alongside crispy cider braised pig cheeks with apple and fennel sauce, and deep fried popcorn cockles. To drink there’s barrel aged gin, Highgate Negronis and gimlets.
