Dishoom opens its first London branch south of the Thames – and its 11th in total – next week in the redeveloped Battersea Power Station complex. The new venue pays tribute to its location adjacent to the power station with a ‘retro-futuristic’ take on 1950s Bombay.
The familiar Dishoom menu beginning with breakfast will be joined by an ‘exclusive’ chef’s special in the form of Bhatti Chicken, marinated in black spices and cooked on the bone for an ‘earthy, smoky flavour and striking dark hue‘.
Tables can be booked all day but after 5.45pm only for parties of six, so evening walk-ins are encouraged. There is also a Permit Room Bar for cocktails, and – in a first for Dishoom – dogs are welcome.
Dishoom Battersea will have a soft opening with 50% off food bills from Monday 27 November until Tuesday 5 December.
