Saborcito, the first spinoff from Nieves Barragan Mohacho’s smash hit restaurant Sabor, is among the big draws at the relaunched Arcade Food Hall below London’s landmark Centre Point tower. Saborcito will serve Hispanic tapas and fresh seafood in the style that earned Nieves accolades as the chef behind the Barrafina group.
Initially launched as Arcade Food Theatre in July 2019, the venue survived just eight months before closing down. It is now managed by the Sethi siblings’ JKS group, which has installed an entirely new line-up of food options that promises to make it the highest-quality food hall in town when it opens on April 22.
Iranian chef Kian Samyani of Berenjak will serve chicken shawarma and marinated lamb doner wrapped in khobez bread at Shatta and Toum, while the team behind Yashin Sushi will provide an omakase experience at Sushi Kamon. The Provisions deli counter will offer sandwiches by Margot Henderson of Rochelle Canteen and lardy buns and brown butter cakes from Jame Lowe’s Flor Bakery.
Southeast Asian specialist Luke Farrell is the chef behind Arcade’s flagship restaurant, Plaza Khao Gaeng, which will serve southern Thai comfort food. He is also doubling up with Bebek! Bebek!, which will deliver hawker-style duck and chicken dishes as found at night markets in Indonesia.
