A new restaurant inside the British Film Institute (BFI) might not normally be something we’d write about, but the Stephen St Kitchen is being helmed by Mark Block – formerly head chef at Grain Store – so perhaps this is one to keep an eye on?
From Benugo – the people behind Hyde Park’s Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, Soho members’ club The House of St Barnabas and Great Court Restaurant at the British – the restaurant is located above the private screening rooms at BFI in Stephen Street, Fitzrovia.
Stephen St Kitchen is kitted out with a wood fired oven so there are plenty or pizzas and flatbreads on the menu as well as fish, salads and other dishes. The restaurant has an open kitchen, banquette seating and two outdoor spaces for al fresco dining and drinking.
