American burger chain Shake Shack is opening at UK airports after a new partnership between TRG Concessions and Diverse Dining was launched.
The first opened at Gatwick Airport’s North terminal this week and will operate seven days a week, from 4am until the last flight departs.
UK brand operator Diverse Dining currently operates ten Shake Shacks in the UK, while TRG Concessions, a division of the Restaurant Group, runs numerous high street restaurant brands across the UK.
Nick Ayerst, managing director of TRG Concessions, said: “We are very excited to be working with a brand like Shake Shack and are looking forward to collaboratively opening our first shack at Gatwick Airport.”
Michael Kark, Shake Shack’s chief global licensing officer, added: “We are incredibly proud to be a part of the UK’s thriving food scene and are continually humbled by the support of our UK fanbase.
“We look forward to expanding upon that connection in UK airports, whether we’re welcoming you home or fuelling you up for your trip.”
