Chef Limor Chen and her husband Amir are to launch the third branch of their Eastern Mediterranean restaurant Delamina in Covent Garden next Friday (1 November).
They have taken over a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse in Tavistock Street that was formerly occupied by Volta do Mar. Their first two venues, in Marylebone and Shoreditch, are noted in the 2024 Harden’s guide for their “consistently very good” modern Levantine dishes.
Ahead of the new launch, Amir said: “Limor and I have been searching for several years for the perfect site that will allow us to develop a further expression of the Delamina cooking style and hospitality. When we came across this beautiful townhouse in Covent Garen it was love at first sight – the light-filled interiors, period features, and of course the central location immediately appealed to us and naming it Delamina Townhouse was a natural impulse.
“We can’t wait to bring our cuisine to this vibrant part of London, with its eclectic mix of local residents, businesses, tourists and theatre-goers. We’ve loved developing the menu and space of this new sister to our restaurant family, bringing exciting dishes alongside all-time favours in a beautifully designed environment.”
