Shutters, a new all-day restaurant and bar in Canary Wharf improbably combining Cornish produce with Mexican-inspired cocktails, opens its shutters for the first time next Wednesday, 1 December.
The menu will be led with fish from the far southwest, supported by meat and vegetables also delivered from Cornwall – even the coffee served alongside pastries and smoothies at the upstairs counter will be Cornish-roasted. Breakfast will be served from 8am, while in the evening the counter morphs into a wine bar with deli-style cured meats and cheeses open until late.
The Happiness Cartel, the Cornish-based company behind the launch, also owns the Unicorn on the Beach at Porthtowan near Truro and the Godolphin Hotel at Marazion, whose restaurant is also called Shutters, along with the Pedlar Good Fortune pan-Asian café and cocktail bar in Peckham.
Shutters is at ground-floor level at One Canada Square.
