A West London arts space has opened a chic new Italian restaurant under the direction of highly rated chef Emanuele Pollini. The venture shares Ladbroke Hall, a former car factory from the early motoring era, with contemporary art and design operation Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
Pollini at Ladbroke Hall occupies the vaulted lobby of the grand Beaux-Arts building, now Grade II listed, that housed the Sunbeam Talbot Motor Factory in the early years of the 20th century.
Emanuele Pollini was born in Cesena and has worked in leading restaurants in Italy as well as the Basque country, Oslo and New Zealand. In 2020 he was voted Italian chef of the year by the magazine Gambero Rosso.
The restaurant is open for lunch (2 courses for £24, 3 for £28) and dinner (pasta from £18, secondi £19-£54), with live jazz on Friday nights.
