The Indian restaurant brand Mowgli will open a site in Cheltenham in the summer, adding to its portfolio of 11.
Founder Nisha Katona revealed on Instagram she had taken a unit in the town’s Brewery Quarter shopping centre.
Katona said: “Out of the ashes of a decimated 2020 we hope to raise this sweet fledging Indian home kitchen in the Brewery Quarter.
“To be able to take Mowgli there, to create over 30 jobs, to find and support a local charity there makes me so proud and reminds me of why we must keep our strength and chin up and march on as bloodied as we are.”
The group was founded in Liverpool in 2014 and is one of a number strong modern concepts – Dishoom, Rosa’s Thai being two other prominent contenders – to see success outside the capital.
There are other sites in Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford, Nottingham, Sheffield, Cardiff, Leicester, and Leeds. Bristol may also follow soon.
