To celebrate the upcoming launch of their latest and largest site in the heart of Covent Garden, Flat Iron is holding a soft opening that carnivores surely won’t want to miss. For three nights (30 November, 1-2 December) the restaurant is offering free a flat iron steak and side dish to diners from 6 pm onwards.
The soft launch is only available to walk-ins. We suggest you arrive early (but even then you’ll probably still encounter epic queues).
Taking over the former site of Lord Bradford’s Porters restaurant (now in Berkhamsted) in Covent Garden, the 180-cover venue features on-site butchery and Yorkshire Beer bar.
Since opening as a pop-up above a pub on Redchurch Street back in 2012, Flat Iron has been extremely popular with Harden’s reporters for its “brilliant, value-for-money steaks”. Affordability is part of the group’s ethos, pioneered by founder – and self-confessed ‘Beef Geek’ – Charlie Carroll, is simple – who believes steak need not be eye-wateringly expensive. Hear, hear!
