Albert’s Schloss, the Manchester-based Bavarian-themed beer hall, is to open in London this spring, just off Piccadilly Circus in the middle of the West End. The venue will entertain up to 700 revellers with a line-up of live music, beer and schnapps, and a menu of Alpine and middle-European classics ranging from fondue, bratwurst and pretzels to schnitzels and schweinshaxe (pork knuckle).
Named in tongue-in-cheek honour of Prince Albert, the first Schloss was opened in Manchester in 2015 by Mission Mars, who also run the expanding Rudy’s Pizza chain.
The company has already opened outposts of Albert’s Schloss in Liverpool and Birmingham, and has several other major British cities in its sights – along with Las Vegas in the US. Chief executive Roy Ellis said: “We continue to search for the best locations to continue our growth.”
