Looking to prove that Argentina has much more to offer than just great steak, Malevo Group (Zoilo, Abasto, Casa Malevo) founder Diego Jacquet has announced London’s inaugural Argentine festival celebrating the country’s food and drink – Comilona. The restaurateur has invited Argentinean chefs from kitchens across the world to come and cook at his London venues.
The series of dinners, talks and masterclasses will see chefs like Soledad Nardelli, head chef at Chila in Buenos Aires; Martin Baquero and Gonazalo Aramburu, chef patron of Aramburu (also in Buenos Aires) dishing up traditional and modern Argentinean cuisine.
Joining them will be Victor Trochi, head chef at Les Magnolies in Girona, Spain; Pablo del Rio, chef patron of Siete Cocinas in Mendoza and London’s Diego Cardoso, currently heading up Percy & Founders (previously head chef at Murano).
