The Allegory by Drake & Morgan is coming to the ‘Unsquare Mile’ this October – that’s the are where Shoreditch meets the City – in the new Principal Place development just off Worship Street. Be one of the first to sample their creative cocktails, craft beers, and dishes from the menu with 50% off food and drink 18-22 October.

Open all-day, The Allegory caters for those early-morning meetings, lunch and dinner, as well as seasonal cocktails on the al-fresco terrace (blankets and hot water bottles available as we head towards winter!)

The wine list vaunts over 20 bottles by the glass, craft beers and spirits, but cocktails are the main event. On the list: Candy Shop with Tanqueray gin, rhubarb & custard liqueur; the Mezcalita made with mezcal, Cointreau, orange juice, lime and sugar syrup; or a Vignard featuring Botanist gin, dark grape juice, lime, sugar syrup, egg white and lemon thyme; all paired with a selection of sharing platters from the bar food menu.

The food menu includes small plates, sharing boards, superfood salads and more substantial mains such as pulled pork burger with barbecue sauce; and seabass with braised fennel, spinach and chorizo and hand-cut 21 day-aged steaks. Puds go retro with a sharing Black Forest knickerbocker glory or berry crumble. 

Weekend brunch is available from 10 am with the classic Full English (or Full Veggie); bubble and squeak, bacon and fried eggs with caramelised mash, onion and cabbage; or lighter options such as flatbread with aubergine purée, poached eggs and yoghurt.
