Bang Bang Oriental, an eco-friendly food hall and restaurant complex seating up to 750 diners, is to open on the Edgware Road in Colindale, north London, this summer.
Billed as the capital’s biggest Asian food hall, it will incorporate 33 individual kiosks offering street food from China, Korea, Japan, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. Downstairs will be the Golden Dragon flagship restaurant, serving dim sum lunches and a traditional Chinese menu in the evening.
Bang Bang (which translates as Good Good in Mandarin) will be open from 11am to 10pm daily, with four retail units, community and cultural spaces and a children’s play area available – and all under cover. Food waste will be processed on site in a bio-fuel cylinder, reducing carbon emissions.
