Chef Scott Paton has overseen the launch Àclèaf restaurant in Boringdon Hall hotel, near Plymouth, next week.
The restaurant has replaced the Gallery, a restaurant housed in a 42-bedroom Devon hotel which Paton joined in 2016. The chef won awards and gained numerous accolades in his first few years in the role.
Now, Paton has opened Àclèaf, which has been described as an intimate restaurant with a “focus on sourcing and showcasing British produce across four-and six-course tasting menus”, accompanied by English-led wine.
The chef said: “I’m thrilled to be launching Àclèaf. Guests can expect a culinary journey led by the bounties of produce available to us in Devon.
“Àclèaf hopes to present a uniquely immersive dining experience in the south west, a place where guests can feel at ease in the restaurant-team’s hands and hotel’s historic surroundings.”
Àclèaf opened on 22 January. Boringdon Hall dates back to 1066.
