JKS Restaurants is opening a vast new Indian barbecue destination and drinking tavern in the flash Bloomberg Arcade on June 6.
Brigadiers will be a labyrinthine-like restaurant, divided into separate rooms and sections; all will serve bar snacks and small plates the group is known for at its other ventures, such as the popular Gymkhana, Hoppers, and Trishna. All have a four or five-star rating for food on Hardens.
At the City hangout there will be spots to self-pour beer, play pool, watch sports events and party into the evening. There’s also a terrace area and numerous other rooms – including private dining spaces.
Food will include paratha rolls, Afghani-style lamb, Sikandari kid goat shoulder to share, and a tandoori chicken club sandwich.
The likes of oysters, pork scratchings and ox cheek samosas deftly combine modern Indian and Anglo Indian cuisine. Dishes are best washed down, of course, with pale ale and whisky.
JKS Restaurants is run by Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi, who say their grandfather, who served in the 4th Gurkha Rifles in India, and his Army messes, provided the inspiration.
Brigadiers will be a social hub of a restaurant, a place where people eat, drink, and have fun.
